First Flight

New plane is built and tuned. Flew three times on a beautiful sunday afternoon.  The landings were more like semi controlled crashes but no damage so they are deemed a success.  Practicing on FMS has made a huge difference to my control and confidence.  All I can say is I should have done this years ago.

Epic Fail

Mid air + loss of wing = nose dive + major damage

After a pretty squirly takeoff on the rough gravel pathway and some awkward flying the main wing of this trainer comes off.  The NTSB is still investigating but it looks like the elastics that hold the wing on gave out after the high G manuvers I was doing with my shitty elevator control.  You don't get to see the impact in the video because it just dropped out of the sky but trust me it was exactly what you would expect.  The aftermath pictures give a pretty good idea how it went down.  The wing on the other hand looks like new after it flutters to the ground.  Anyways the bottom line is the plane is wrote off, the RX battery is mia, and the engine is missing the carb.  Stay tuned for the replacement plane...
